description

A funky yet traditional outdoor space for a pub in Shepherd’s Bush. The main feature of this herb garden is the wall of random boxes made from vintage wine crates. They are planted with culinary herbs which all feature on the pub menu. There are two planted wooden barrels as well with trailing plants to soften the rustic look. The long border in the brick raised bed is a row of standard birch trees underplanted with box balls and a selection of seasonal annuals and perennials with different colour combinations.

“Leaving some gaps in the planting is always good for seasonal planting, when we want to create a different colour combination and change some bedding plants season by season for a special occasion.”
