description

A soft and feminine design with some rustic accessories, a typical Chelsea garden. The main focal point is a bespoke York stone water feature which matches the paving. The grey horizontal battened trellis is covered with climbers including evergreen jasmines, Ceanothus, Wisteria and climbing roses. The reclaimed brick raised beds host seasonal planting which flower throughout the year, and during spring a display of Alliums and Tulipa Angelique planted en masse spice up the garden. The white metal table and chairs match the Mediterranean feel of the olive trees, especially with the rustic terracotta pots planted with geraniums on the steps.

“The layout itself is quite rectangular – the planting makes the difference. The raised beds would stand out more if we could see the bricks everywhere, but the many trailing plants soften the look.”
